Gryt 1.14.0-beta.7

Beta

Beta: server admin in one place, Settings in three groups, and new icons.

Chat

New

Channels have a search button in their header, like direct messages. It starts in that channel, and removing the chip searches the whole server.

Changed

New icons: a teardrop for chats and direct messages, its own icon for pinned messages, and a dozen others. Leaving a voice channel looks like leaving, and only a call shows a phone to hang up.

Every message fades in as it arrives, your own included, and yours no longer dims while it sends.

Fixed

A direct message to somebody whose key changed failed with "Their keys couldn't be checked". You're now told their key changed, and asked to check it on their card before sending.

Pinned messages no longer says Loading… forever on a server that doesn't answer.

Notifications

New

The server menu has the same Notifications choices as a server's right-click, and Settings › Notifications lists every channel and folder you've set differently.

Servers & invites

Changed

Server settings has everything for running a server: its pages sit under General, People, Channels, Moderation, Integrations and Hosting. Reports moved in from their own window, and a server this app runs gets a Hosting page with its start, stop and address controls. The server menu shows the waiting reports on Server settings.

Hide channels sits next to Hide members in a channel's ⋯ menu, "What this server runs" is called Plugins, and a new folder asks for its name before it's made.

Settings & app

New

You can take the welcome tour again from Settings › About, and it ends on our official server.

Changed

Settings is grouped under You, App and Servers, and Profile opens on your name and picture again.

Fixed

Addons load from manifest.json, as the docs and examples say. They only loaded from addon.json before, which still works.

Dialogs, tooltips and menus keep clear of the desktop title bar, and text on purple buttons is dark enough to read.

That’s everything in this release. When something lands that’s worth explaining, there’s a post about it.
