You can mention @everyone, @here, a role or a #channel now, and notifications show names instead of the raw mention code. There's also a Flatpak for Linux.
Chat
- New
Type @everyone to ping everyone who can read the channel, @here for just the people online, or @ and a role name for everyone with that role. It needs the new Mention everyone permission, which owners and admins have by default. Without it the text goes out as plain text and pings nobody.
Type # to link a channel. Clicking the link opens it. Someone who can't see that channel gets a grey #private-channel instead, and never learns its name.
Notifications

Each server has a Suppress @everyone and @here setting, if you'd rather not be pinged by those. Channels set to Only mentions count them as mentions otherwise.
- Fixed
A notification for someone joining showed the raw mention code instead of their name, and other notifications showed markdown symbols. They read as plain text now.
Settings & app

Linux has a Flatpak now, on the download page and on every release. Install it with flatpak install --user and the file name, and do the same with the next release's file to update.
Self-hosting

The server built into the desktop app is updated to 1.10.29, which handles the new mentions.
