The thread panel sits beside your conversation on a wide window instead of covering it, and you can reach the messages behind it again. Threads stop offering buttons the server turns down, you can close one rather than only reopen it, and a message that fails twice hands your text back instead of sitting there.

The image worker your desktop app runs for you answered on every address on your network instead of just your own machine. It answers on loopback only now.

You can close a thread from the panel's menu now, not only reopen one. A closed thread says what closing means, since it isn't deleting anything and it can be undone.

From 1164px wide, the thread panel sits beside the conversation instead of covering it, and the conversation keeps its own width instead of losing it to the panel. Below that width the panel still takes the whole screen, and a half-written reply survives moving between the two.

Mark solved and the tag chips showed up for everyone, even though only the thread's author or a moderator can use either. Both are gated to those two now.
A closed thread still drew a live composer, and sending into it failed with a toast. It shows a line saying the thread is closed instead.
Deleting a message deletes its thread's replies too, and the confirm didn't say so. It now counts them: "This deletes the message and the 2 replies in its thread."
A thread whose root message was gone left the panel blank. It says the message it started from is gone now.
Starting a thread or a forum topic with no connection sent into a dead socket, and the composer sat disabled waiting on a reply that couldn't come. Both check the connection first now.
A closed forum topic had no way to reach it, because the topic list filtered it out. There's a Closed filter now, and a closed topic carries a chip in the list.
A message refused twice sat pending forever, with its spinner never going away. It fails now and hands the text back to the composer.
